Team Canada pulled off a dominant 11-1 win over Slovakia on Thursday and while there were goals aplenty, there were perhaps none sweeter than Canada's opening goal.

With approximately 6:15 expiring in the first frame, 17-year-old phenom Connor Bedard linked up with Team Canada captain Mason McTavish on a sensational tic-tac-toe passing play, resulting in an absolute snipe past a sprawling Slovak goaltender to give Canada a lead that they would never relinquish.

Bedard and McTavish continue to have a strong showing at the 2022 WJC tournament, emerging as two of the brightest young stars in the game. The Ducks are in a great spot with McTavish and while Bedard still has a year to wait before he finds out where he'll begin his NHL career, it's looking increasingly likely that he's every bit the phenom that he appears to be.
