Plenty of talk about Anaheim Ducks goaltender John Gibson this week. First, Sportsnet's Nick Alberga reported that sources close to the Ducks were mentioning that it was believed that Gibson had informed the Ducks that he would be open to moving this summer.

Of course, shortly thereafter, Gibson's agent (Kurt Overhardt) issued a statement that those rumours were false and that Gibson had not had any discussion of the sort with the Ducks. Finally, today, Gibson himself came out and denied the rumours.

TSN's Chris Johnston was asked about John Gibson's name in relation to the Leafs today, and the trusted insider revealed that he does not think that the Leafs currently have any interest in Gibson, nor have they engaged in any talks with the Ducks on the veteran netminder.

Johnston rifled off a few names, such as Darcy Kuemper, Marc-Andre Fleury and Ville Husso as potential options for the Leafs, but quickly doubled down on his opinion that there is really nothing to the Maple Leafs/John Gibson buzz.
