Alexander Ovechkin tops the list, followed closely by two-time Stanley Cup Champion Nikita Kucherov. After bursting onto the scene in 2020-21, Kirill Kaprizov took his game to the next level last season, cementing himself as a bona-fide superstar, finishing with 108 points for the Minnesota Wild last season. He landed at #3 on the list.
Somewhat surprisingly, since the list wasn't assembled by anyone in the Toronto media, we have a Maple Leafs winger listed at #4. Mitch Marner slides into that spot thanks to a breakout season in 2021-22. After a pretty typical first half for Marner, he absolutely exploded in the second half of the season en route to a 97-point season in just 72 games. The 25-year-old winger also had twelve games with at least 3 points last season and four games with 4 points. He was also the highest scoring player in the league from January 1st onward.
Rounding out the top 5 in the 5th spot is Jonathan Huberdeau, who finished the season with 115 points. The pending UFA was dealt to the Calgary Flames this summer in the Matthew Tkachuk deal and subsequently signed an 8-year extension to remain with the Flames for conceivably the remainder of his NHL career.
In spots 6-10, Satriano had Mikko Rantanen, Johnny Gaudreau, Artemi Panarin, Brad Marchand and Patrick Kane, in that order. For the remainder of the list, see the link below.
