NHL to hold ''Ask Me Anything'' with NHL official Wes McCauley
We have all wanted answers from the NHL about its poor and sometimes laughable officiating calls and inconsistencies all season and it appears we may finally get some of those answers. Thursday at 4:30 ET, senior official Wes McCauley will be on Reddit doing an «Ask Me Anything». What could possibly go wrong with this idea, right?
The officiating has been an eyesore for the league the past few seasons. Almost every game there has been one or more questionable calls or non-calls that have drastically influenced and changed game outcomes. The «game management» has become game mismanagement and has cost many teams, not just the Leafs, multiple points in the standings.
If you're here, it's because you follow the Leafs religiously like us and you know all too well that there have been 2 or more questionable calls/non-calls in pretty much every game this season for the Leafs. In particularly, since the calendar turned to 2022.
It will be interesting to see what questions McCauley is allowed to answer and what kind of answers the league provides to him to read so they don't dig themselves a bigger hole.
