Well, Kadri could simply be weighing his options, or he could be hard at work behind the scenes with the Avs trying to negotiate a new deal to remain in Denver through what could end up being the rest of his pro hockey career. According to Avs correspondent Adrian Dater, it could be the latter.
Colorado has done a pretty good job of keeping most of the band together, so it stands to reason that they may be looking to come back with a lot of the same guys, hoping to make another run. Bringing Kadri back would be a huge move for new Avs GM Chris MacFarland, there's no question about that.
As for other potential suitors, with all of Calgary, New Jersey and Long Island having missed out on Johnny Gaudreau, those are 3 teams who could make some sense when it comes to players for Kadri, but it's really up to the London, ON native. If he wants to take a little less to return to the Avs, I don't think anyone would be too surprised.
