Reporter reveals which ASG Skills Competition events Matthews and Campbell will take part in
The National Hockey League is now officially on its All-Star break and with the players who were selected, the trip to Las Vegas is imminent. Two players from the Leafs were selected to represent the Atlantic Division in Auston Matthews and Jack Campbell, but what events will they compete in?
Well, according to The Leafs Nation's David Alter, we'll see reigning Rocket Richard Trophy winner Auston Matthews competing in a special Vegas-themed event called "21 in '22", where players will fire pucks at a large board full of cards in an attempt to get as close to 21 as they can before they "bust". The player who makes the best hand in the fewest shots twice will win the event. Among those in competition with Matthews in the event are former Leaf Nazem Kadri, Steven Stamkos, Joe Pavelski and Brady Tkachuk.
As for Jack Campbell, he will take part in the "Dunkin' NHL Save Streak" event, where 8 goaltenders will be pitted against each other to see who can save the most breakaway shots in a row. Campbell will take part in the event along with former Leaf Frederik Andersen, Andrei Vasilevskiy, Tristan Jarry, Cam Talbot, Juuse Saros, Thatcher Demko and John Gibson.
