Before puck drop last night, cameras caught Nick Robertson and Sheldon Keefe sharing a laugh. The context was unknown until postgame, but it certainly helped shake any pregame nerves that Robertson might have had, as he went on to score 2 goals, including the overtime winner and was the most noticeable player for the Leafs all night.

Post-game, Robertson was all smiles while discussing what had Keefe and himself laughing. Robertson said it's a pregame routine for him to squirt water down the back of his neck and the last couple of times he's missed and hit Leafs Assistant Coach Spencer Carbery, soaking his suit in the process.

Keefe noticed Robertson hit the back of his neck before Thursdays game and not Carbery's suit to which he leaned in and said, "of all the development and progress I've seen this is the best one so far."

Any good coach knows what his players are feeling just from their body language. In this case, a quick comment to a nervous Nick Robertson seems to be just what the doctor ordered!
