It hasn't been the most enjoyable start to his NHL career. First, Shane Wright thought he was going first overall only to slip to fourth. Then there was "stare gate" and most recently, questions about his attitude were raised.
Last night, Wright received an attitude adjustment courtesy of Blues forward Ivan Barbashev. Wright corralled the puck off the boards in St Louis' zone and attempted to carry it into the corner where he was met by Barbashev who sent him flying into the boards with a massive hit.
Wright still has a lot to learn about the speed and intensity of the NHL. Having said that, players of his caliber tend to figure it out fairly quickly. The worry here is that Kraken head coach Dave Hakstol has been scratching the rookie forward. If you want him to learn, he has to play.
