Many Leaf fans begged the Leafs to change the goal song coming into this season, but unfortunately they chose to stick with the Hall & Oates song "You Make My Dreams (Come True)". It's not exactly the "pump up" song you expect when a team scores.
Joe Thornton had the opportunity to hear countless times during his season in Toronto. Currently unsigned, but skating occasionally at the Sharks' practice rink, maybe it was Thornton's idea, but after the Sharks' OT win, they blasted the infamous Hall & Oates song in their dressing room.
Clearly beating the Leafs was their Stanley Cup this season, much like how the Jets treated it last season. Just maybe though, if the Leafs heard it down the hall, it will have convinced them to finally change their goal song and may help in placing a chip on their shoulders for the final two games of their road trip.
