Largely, Matt Murray played well in the season opener in Montreal, but did give up a soft one in the contest and played to a loss behind a disjointed Leafs team on opening night. Then, on Thursday during the home opener, Ilya Samsonov gave up two soft ones against Washington, but managed to hold on for the win. Now, the question is, who gets the start on Saturday against the Sens?

Sheldon Keefe spoke with the media following Thursday's win over the Caps, pointing to Samsonov's play as a key reason why his team was able to pick up the win. He had this to say about Samsonov's first game as a Leaf.

"That's all you can really ask for, for your goalie to keep it at two or less."

-Keefe on Samsonov

Keefe was asked about the goaltending situation for Saturday to which he said that he has not decided on a starter yet. There's a good chance that Murray returns to the crease Saturday against Ottawa, but we won't know until the game day skate on Saturday morning as the Leafs have an off-day today.
