During today's practice, the Leafs got a bit of a scare as Michael Bunting was hit in the face with a puck, leaving him bloodied and in obvious discomfort. He left the ice and didn't return.

Following practice, Sheldon Keefe essentially said that Bunting was "ok" thankfully, but he used a much more colourful answer. "I haven't seen him, but I heard him. Usually when you can hear him, you know things are pretty good and he's himself," said Keefe when asked about Bunting.

Keefe certainly isn't wrong in saying that as Bunting sometimes moves his mouth as much or more than he moves his feet during games. I'm not saying he doesn't skate, but he certainly does talk a lot to whoever he's lined up or battling with. The more he talks, the more engaged in the game he is. So if Keefe says he's still talking and being as loud as he usually is, Bunting appears to be just fine.

Worst case scenario, he wears a cage or full shield for a game or two. Not that it will stop him from talking, but it will prevent him from injuring the area where he was struck with the puck.
