We already know that Sidney Crosby is a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer, but even at 34 years old, the Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia native continues to show why he's still one of the very best players in the game today.

On Sunday, Crosby made the absolute most out of his 1100th career NHL game by recording his 1400th NHL point - a vintage Crosby goal to knock off the Nashville Predators in overtime.

After an attempted jam play by Pens defenseman Mike Matheson, Preds forward Mikael Granlund picked up the loose puck to the left of his net and tried to turn the play back up the other way, but Crosby, as he's done about a million times in his legendary career, stripped Granlund of the puck and did what he always does - he went to the net. The rest is history.

Crosby is now up to 75 points in 61 games this season and are looking like a lock to make the postseason in the Metro Division, where he has shown his ability, time and time again, to do some real damage.

The three-time Stanley Cup Champion would undoubtedly love to add a fourth Stanley Cup ring to his collection. If the playoffs started today, the Pens would draw the New York Rangers in round 1.
