Habs first overall pick Juraj Slafkovsky is having a rough go his first season in the NHL. At least once every couple of weeks there has been a clip of him getting absolutely rocked because he hasn't figured out how to keep his head up. Last night in a wild game in Vancouver was no different.

Midway through the first period, with the Habs up 1-0 over the Canucks, Slafkovsky corralled the puck behind the Canucks' net with his head down. As he was attempting to make a drop pass to the side of the net, he was met by former fifth overall pick and former Leaf Luke Schenn at the other side. Schenn caught Slafkovsky admiring his pass and added another massive hit to his resume. Slafkovsky stayed down on one knee for a moment with his helmet awkwardly over his eyes, wondering what had happened as he collected himself.

Schenn, who is now the NHL's all-time leading hitter for defensemen, was then challenged by another Habs rookie, Arber Xhekaj, to a fight, which did not go well for Xhekaj as he went down in a matter of seconds. Slafkovsky then slowly made his way over to the Habs' bench stretching his jaw, accompanied by the Habs' trainer. He did remain in the game, but you have to wonder when Slafkovsky will learn his lesson and keep his head up.
