Josh Anderson took part in his first practice of training camp with the Canadiens today. Anderson has been nursing a hand injury since the start of camp, and what an injury it was.

According to Darren Dreger, Anderson had an infection on his finger which was caused by a spider bite. Anderson has struggled to produce for long stints since joining the Habs during the 2020-2021 season and has failed to live up to the 7-year, $38.5M contract he signed that summer. In two seasons with the Habs, he has put up 24 and 32 points which is a far cry from the 47 he put up his last season in Columbus.

(Insert random Spider-Man joke here)

Anderson (with or without a new superpower) will look to rejoin the Habs' top six in pursuit of a bounce-back season, although the Habs will be in tough again this year without Carey Price.
