Stanley Cup Final Ticket Prices are Insane

Are you in the Denver area, with some extra cash and looking for something to do Wednesday night? Well you're in luck! For the low price of $1000 USD you could treat yourself to Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Tickets to this year's Cup Final are reportedly the most expensive in NHL history, with average ticket prices on resale sites for Colorado vs Tampa is $2860 USD, with the average ticket price in Colorado being $3022. Absolutely ridiculous! Colorado's average ticket price is $300 higher than the 2018 Capitals Cup Final tickets and the overall average between Colorado and Tampa is an astounding ~$600 more than the 2018 final between Vegas and Washington.

If ticket prices are this high for Colorado after not making a Final in 21 years, imagine how ridiculous ticket prices would be if the Leafs made it to the finals after 55+ years. There would be more people watching in Maple Leaf Square than in Scotiabank Arena itself.

As much as I'm looking forward to watching Tampa try for their third straight and Colorado try for their first in 20 years, I can't fathom spending that much on tickets just to get into the building. I'm content sitting on my couch with cheap drinks and unlimited snacks.
