The Ottawa Senators are currently 3rd in the Atlantic Divison through 6 games, much to the surprise of, well, pretty much everyone. Unfortunately, if they want to maintain the pace they're currently on, they'll have to overcome some significant adversity.

Over the weekend, Sens #1C Josh Norris was injured during a faceoff against the Arizona Coyotes. He knew immediately that the injury was significant and was visibly frustrated while heading down the tunnel.

Originally, the Sens were reporting that Norris would miss at least a few weeks, but now it has been confirmed that his injury is more substantial that originally thought. Sens head coach DJ Smith confirmed on Wednesday that Norris would, in fact, miss several months of action. He may not return at all this season.

The specifics of the injury have not yet been released, but it is believed to be the same shoulder that Norris injured last season - though the nature of the injury suffered over the weekend is different than the injury that he sustained last season. Very unfortunate for the Sens, who were off to a solid start.
