Following the news early Saturday that the Leafs would indeed activate superstar winger Mitch Marner in time to suit up against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, the Leafs announced another roster move that fans should be excited about.

Per Sportsnet's Luke Fox, the Leafs have also activated defenseman Rasmus Sandin from IR on Saturday, meaning that the young Swede will return against the Sens as well.
Sandin has been sidelined since December 5th after being taken out of the lineup by a knee-on-knee collision with Jets defenseman Neal Pionk, who had stated in the days following the incident that seeing Sandin go down, clutching his knee, made him feel sick.
With Sandin back in the lineup for the Buds, that leaves only defenseman Timothy Liljegren on the sidelines after he tested positive for COVID-19 this week.
This is the healthiest that the Leafs have been so far this season and it's hard not to be excited about the possibilities of a healthy roster to kick off the new year!
