We saw first hand during the All-Star festivities last year that Zegras can make magic happen with the puck on his stick - even while blindfolded. We also saw him create some magic in live game action when he connected with former teammate Sonny Milano on a fake "Michigan" attempt or "Dishigan" as it was referred to, passing the puck to Milano who batted it in out of the air. But his latest effort may just take the cake.
During Ducks practice this weekend, Zegras came in for a shootout attempt on backup Lukas Dostal, tucking the puck between his legs while skating backward, flipping the puck up before spinning around and batting the puck in out of the air himself.
In the age of the internet, we have easy access to trick shot compilations on YouTube and TikTok, but this one by Zegras is one of the more creative shootout attempts I've seen on an actual NHL goaltender. Simply unreal!
