Following the announcement that Leafs starter Jack Campbell had returned to practice on Tuesday, much to the delight of Leafs fans, the Leafs had some additional good news to report.

Per The Hockey News' David Alter, each other member of the Leafs' team and coaching staff that had entered COVID-19 protocol on December 18th has been cleared to return and was present at practice, including head coach Sheldon Keefe, assistant coach Spencer Carbery, and defensemen Travis Dermott and T.J. Brodie.

This is wonderful news for the Leafs, who have had to postpone their last 6 games as a result of a COVID-19 outbreak in the locker room, were originally facing the possibility of having to play games short-handed.

The Leafs' next scheduled game against the Ottawa Senators on January 1st is expected to take place as of this time - however, that is certainly subject to change.

The games agains the Flames, Canucks, Kraken, Blues, Blue Jackets and Penguins that had been postponed in December will all likely be rescheduled during the break in the NHL in February, which was originally in place to allow NHLers to attend the Olympic Games in Beijing. Of course, that is no longer occurring, much to the dismay of the players.

The Leafs are riding a 2-game winning streaking heading into the new year and they remain one of the top teams in both the Atlantic Division and the NHL.
