The hockey community is once again outraged, as two players in an Austria-based League, HK Olimpija Ljubljana's Tadej Cimzar and Miha Zajc, made racist gestures towards former NHLer Derek Joslin.

Following a play in which Ljubljana had a scoring chance turned away, there was a bit of a scrum behind the net that saw Joslin shove Cimzar before Cimzar began pantomiming monkey behaviour at Joslin, a former San Jose Sharks draft pick in 2005. You can see the play below.

The ordeal is eerily reminiscent of an incident in the Ukrainian Hockey League earlier this year that saw another black former NHLer, Jalen Smereck, was targeted with a racist gesture from Andrei Deniskin, leading to a 13-game suspension.

According to the bet-at-home ICE Hockey League, Cizmar and Zajc have both been suspended 10 games for their inappropriate racist behaviour. Each player has also been fined the equivalent of approximately $3500 USD.
