"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas stayed pretty quiet yesterday during the trade deadline. There was lots of speculation regarding defenseman Tyson Barrie and that he could be shipped out of town. He was heavily linked to the Vancouver Canucks, but the Canucks pulled out as they're seriously up against the cap. When the smoke cleared, Barrie is still in a Leafs' uniform and will play the season out before he tests the free agent market this summer. On Tuesday, NHL insider Bob McKenzie revealed what type of offers the Leafs were receiving for Barrie. According to McKenzie the Leafs were offered similar packages to what the Blackhawks got for Erik Gustafsson from Calgary (a 3rd round pick) and what Carolina paid the New Jersey Devils for Sami Vatanen (Janne Kuokkanen and a second-round pick.)McKenzie adds that the offers just simply weren't good enough for the Leafs.Do you think Dubas made the right decision by holding Barrie?
