"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have been pretty quiet so far on trade deadline day. Aside from shipping out goalie Michael Hutchinson, Dubas hasn't brought in any help. There was lots of chatter that defenseman Tyson Barrie could get shipped out but as of now he's still a member of the Maple Leafs. One reported destination that was building over the last 24 hours was the Vancouver Canucks however that deal seems to be dead. David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period reports that the Cancuks have officially backed out of any potential Barrie trade.
Unless something changes, as of now it doesn't sound like Vancouver's still in the Tyson Barrie mix. — David Pagnotta (@TheFourthPeriod) February 24, 2020
