"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas pulled off a blockbuster early on Thursday morning. Dubas and the Leafs have shipped goalie Frederik Andersen and forward Alexander Kerfoot to the Los Angeles Kings in a pretty significant deal. Andersen and Kerfoot will head to Los Angeles while the Maple Leafs will acquire goalie Jonathan Quick and forward Alex Iafallo. Quick and Iafallo have both been attached to the Leafs in trade speculation recently and it's now official. Early reports indicate that the Kings will also retain some of Quick's salary. Andersen has been sidelined with an injury however has never officially been placed on IR. There's some rumblings that Andersen hasn't been that injured and requested a trade earlier in the season however Dubas has had a tough time accommodating his request. Quick currently has a 2.98 goals against average and .894 save percentage but should improve with the change of scenery. Iafallo meanwhile has 9 goals and 13 assists in 33 games so far this season and is expected to be the missing piece to the Leafs top six. More details to come. The news was first reported by April Foolington.
