"Earlier in the week Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock stated that Rasmus Sandin and Timothy Liljegren had no chance at making the NHL roster. Well the Leafs confirmed that with a noon hour roster move on Wednesday. The team and general manager Kyle Dubas announced that they've assigned rookie Rasmus Sandin to the AHL. Sandin will get a look at the AHL before everybody decides will he'll continue his 2018-19 season with the AHL, OHL and Swedish Elite League all being options.
The @MapleLeafs announced today that defencemen Andrew Nielsen and Rasmus Sandin have been loaned to the @TorontoMarles while forward Semyon Der-Arguchintsev has been loaned to Peterborough (OHL). — Leafs PR (@LeafsPR) September 26, 2018
