It was an interesting time during Leafs' nation when Brian Burke was at the helm as general manager of the team. Burke will be remembered for building a team that could never make the playoffs and pulling the trigger on the trade that brought Phil Kessel to Toronto. He was also in the works on another possible blockbuster. While doing his part and staying at home during the coronavirus pandemic, Burke decided to take some Twitter questions and revealed a bit of a bombshell. The former GM revealed that the Leafs were pushing hard to land Roberto Luongo who was playing for Vancouver at the time. Burke says even though the price would have probably dropped a bit, the original asking price by the Canucks was Jake Gardiner, Nazem Kadri and two first round picks.Wow!Would you have made this blockbuster deal?
