Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid and defenseman Darnell Nurse made some interesting remarks about the Leafs ahead of Saturday's matchup on Hockey Night in Canada.

It's always a good time when the Leafs and Oilers get together on Hockey Night in Canada. Who doesn't look forward to Connor McDavid vs. Auston Matthews?
While this game might be the marquee matchup of the evening, tonight's game will take place in "Oil Country", with a much earlier start time than usual -- something that appears to irk McDavid, who raised the issue during a brief interview on Friday.
"You know, we get the 5 o'clock start time. It's always nice. They come into our building and we got to change our schedule around, but it is what it is."

McDavid, smirking, then gave the Leafs a bit of a rub, mentioning the talent at the other end of the ice, which includes Matthews -- with whom McDavid trains in the summer.
"It's exciting. Always fun to play the Leafs and their big names. They got some special players over there."
Darnell Nurse was also vocal about his distaste over seeing a lot of Leafs jerseys in the stands in Edmonton whenever the Leafs play the Oilers. He also quipped about the increased media focus in the city on days where the Leafs come to town.
"Always feels like a lot of Leafs fans in the building, too much media in the room (smile). Just a combination of a lot of things. These games are a lot of fun, especially in the last few years when both teams have been fairly goodso expect a hard-fought game."
Tonight's matchup will mark the first meeting between Ryan Reaves and Darnell Nurse since the infamous hit from Reaves that put Nurse on the shelf and landed Reaves a lengthy suspension.
The Leafs are currently stuck in a rut, having lost 3 straight, so they'll be looking to get back into the win column tonight in Edmonton.
