Following a loss in which the Maple Leafs blew a 2-goal lead against the NHL's worst team, head coach Craig Berube cooked his team during his post-game media session.

Heading into the second night of a back-to-back is always tough, especially after having gone to overtime during their 6-5 victory against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
However, the schedule offered a reprieve of sorts with the league's worst team entering the confines of Scotiabank Arena as the San Jose Sharks look to end the Leafs' impressive win streak.
The Maple Leafs and the Sharks were scoreless after the first period before Toronto scored twice on the power play in the middle frame to set up a third period where all they needed to do was preserve a lead.
The Sharks had other ideas and tied the game up after scoring their first goal 2:33 into the third and then the tying goal 8 minutes after that. Eventually they forced a shootout where they iced the game in the fourth round off the stick of Fabian Zetterlund.
After the game Craig Berube let us know exactly how he felt about the game and how disappointed he was with his team's play during the third period after an otherwise solid effort.
"We turned the puck over a bit in the third, one ended up in our net. I liked a lot of our game. Not nit-picking, but we missed the net too much. Any loss is disappointing, a 2-0 lead we didn't close"
He later added that while they had their chances on the power play, not being able to convert in overtime was probably the nail in the coffin. During the power play the Leafs fired three shots on goal, had 2 shots blocked, and had another one that missed the net with their top guns on the ice.
"Well, it's disappointing. Any loss is disappointing. 2-0 lead, we're in a good spot to close it out. And we didn't do the job. We had a chance in OT with a power play and couldn't get one."
The Maple Leafs were outshot 9-2 in the third period and just looked all out of sorts trying to defend a 2-goal lead. Anthony Stolarz did the best that he could given the circumstances, but this late in the season, that's a game you don't want to come out of with less than 2 points.
The 5-game winning streak came to an end, but the Leafs will look to get back on track when they visit the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night in the first game of a 3-game road trip that includes pit stops in Colorado on Saturday and Utah on Monday.
The Leafs' visit to Vegas on Wednesday will mark their final game before the trade deadline.
