The Toronto Maple Leafs face the New York Rangers tonight and Michael Hutchinson will be the starting goalie. Something that not every Leafs' fan is comfortable with as he's had a pretty rough season. It's no secret that the Leafs' are currently looking for an upgrade on their backup goalie position, however it's also no secret that teams will be looking to take advantage of Kyle Dubas in a bad situation. However, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has linked the Leafs to a goalie that Dubas has traded for before. Friedman points to Los Angeles Kings backup Jack Campbell as a possible solution. Dubas traded for Campbell back in the duo's OHL days and Dubas knows the 28 year old well and he only carries a $675k salary cap hit this season. He would also bandaid the situation for the following years as he signed an extension through the 2021-22 season at $1.65million a season next year and the year after. Campbell currently carries a 8-10-2 record along with a 2.85 goals against average and .900 save percentage for the lowly Kings. Would you like to see Campbell instead of Hutchinson?
