The Toronto Maple Leafs will see their big trade deadline acquisition likely walk and hit free agency. Forward Nick Foligno was supposed to come in and bring some grit to the team for the playoffs and for the most part he did. Unfortunately he was nothing more than a rental and it's all but guaranteed he returns to Columbus during the offseason. How will the Leafs replace that grit?According to Joel Colomby of the Ottawa Sun, they've got their target. Colomby mentions Evander Kane as an offseason trade target for the Leafs and he would definitely bring both goal scoring and grit to the team. It would take some hurdles to jump over for general manager Kyle Dubas as Kane goes through his bankruptcy proceedings and of course carries a $7million AAV through 2024-25. The 29 year old hasn't scored under 20 goals since the 2014-15 season and is a major factor on the penalty kill as well. Do you think Kane would be the perfect fit?
