"The Toronto Maple Leafs are out of the bubble after being eliminated by the Columbus Blue Jackets during the Stanley Cup Qualifying round. We can expect some changes to happen this offseason as general manager Kyle Dubas' offense only blueprint simply isn't working. One former NHLer proposes a blockbuster deal to bring in some leadership and veteran help on the blue line. Former NHL tough guy John Scott believes the Leafs should trade captain John Tavares for Montreal Canadiens captain Shea Weber and forward Brendan Gallagher. Weber would be an obvious upgrade on the majority of the Leafs' blueline and adding a 30 goal scorer like Gallagher doesn't hurt either, especially the fight he brings on the ice every night. As for the Canadiens, they would finally get the center they've been trying to land for years. Would you make this trade?
The @MapleLeafs need to switch things up... what do you think of this: To MTL: John Tavares To TOR: Shea Weber, Brendan Gallagher Thoughts? — John Scott (@johnscott_32) August 10, 2020
