The Toronto Maple Leafs are down in Tampa Bay for their fourth and final regular season matchup with the Atlantic Division leading Lightning. These two teams could meet in the Stanley Cup playoffs; either if the Boston Bruins overtake Tampa for the Division lead or if both teams advance out of the first round. Leo Komarov, Auston Matthews and Nikita Zaitsev all traveled with the team, but none of them will play tonight. This will be the 10th straight game without Matthews in the lineup. The Leafs have gone 5-2-2 during his most recent absence. Frederik Andersen will return to the crease for the Leafs tonight. This will be his first game action since he left last Wednesday's game against the Dallas Stars with an upper-body injury. The only difference will see from the lineup that beat up on the Montreal Canadiens Saturday night is Josh Leivo back on the fourth line with Dominic Moore heading back to the press box. The Lightning will get a return of their own as winger Ondrej Palat will be in the lineup for the first time since January 20. Palat had eight goals and 30 points in 46 games before suffering a lower-body injury that caused him to miss the last 26 games.
