After the Toronto Maple Leafs beatdown the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 4-0 at the Air Canada Center Saturday, head coach Mike Babcock was asked again about the injured Leafs. Babcock gave his most optimistic answers yet regarding the group. When it comes to Auston Matthews and Frederik Andersen, Babcock sounded the most optimistic. The head coach mentioned that both should be ready to play right away and hopefully Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Babcock said that defenseman Nikita Zaitsev has skated the last couple of days so it's a step in the right direction, he aded he's feeling better and moving in a positive direction. Unfortunately for Komarov, it wasn't as progressive. Babcock mentioned that he doesn't know much about Komarov at the moment but added he doesn't believe the injury is long term. "Zaits skated today and yesterday, so that's the first time he's skated. He's saying he's feeling better and he was in the room after. So that was positive. I think Matty is playing right away here. I'm not 100% certain. Leo — I don't know for sure. I don't know if it's another game, but it's not long term. I think Freddy is playing right away — I think."
