"It was a tough end to the season for Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman. After putting up career high numbers with 21 goals and 41 points, Hyman suffered an injury during Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Boston Bruins. Hyman toughed it out and played the whole series, however it was later revealed that Hyman would undergo surgery to repair a torn ACL, a brutal injury. It's been pretty silent on the Hyman front all summer but we've got some great news thanks to Kristen Shilton of TSN. Shilton reports that Hyman hit the ice on Tuesday with Leafs skating consultant Barb Underhill. "Not sure whether it's a first for him or not since that April ACL tear, but presumably a positive sign regardless for his continuing recovery."
He's expected to miss the first month of the season.
