Even with the public comments, fans were still curious to know how things have evolved behind closed doors. Well, during Monday's practice, there was at least one positive development, as Marner and Nylander were spotted sitting side-by-side sharing a laugh between line rushes.
Typically, if there's a problem between players in the locker room, they're kept apart to avoid creating any additional distractions for the rest of the team. Marner and Nylander look to have buried the hatchet very quickly and are back on great terms ahead of Game 5.
Unfortunately, Auston Matthews was once again absent from practice as he continues to work his way through an illness, believed to be related to a particularly bad case of food poisoning. If he can't go tomorrow, the Leafs will have to try to find a way to overcome adversity to beat the Bruins at TD Garden in Boston and force a Game 6 back in Toronto later this week.
