"The Colorado Avalanche and forward Nazem Kadri are on to the second round while the Toronto Maple Leafs were sent home early once again. After the Avalanche eliminated the Arizona Coyotes, NBC Sports analyst Pierre McGuire took a little shot at the Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas. "I wonder what they're thinking in Toronto right now, watching Kadri go through the handshake line. I'm not sure it's wise to run your team through analytics." Kadri of course was traded for more reasons other than just "analytics", however the trade clearly just didn't work out for the Leafs. Having been suspended and eliminated during the first round of the playoffs almost every year with Toronto, Kadri is on to the second round for the first time in his career and looked like an MVP against Arizona. "I'm just fortunate and lucky to come into such a great dressing room with such great teammates and a great organization that just gave me a chance to be who I can be."They've believed in me since I stepped in the door. I'm just trying to not let them down."Kadri was asked specifically how it feels to finally move onto the second round in his career. «That's a first for me.»
Kadri was asked how it feels to move on to the second round and responded «That's a first for me.» Shade. All the shade. #GoAvsGo — x-Reagan Smith (@RTSmithSports) August 20, 2020
