"The Toronto Maple Leafs finally get back on the ice tonight after a long summer to think about another first round loss. Head coach Sheldon Keefe expects the team to have a chip on their shoulder as they faceoff against that same team that eliminated them last year, the Montreal Canadiens. Keefe confirmed his lineup for tonight which will be without Auston Matthews and Ilya Mikheyev. There's also a chance it could be without Mitch Marner as he'll be a game time decision but he should push himself into the lineup considering the other pieces already missing. Marner will skate with John Tavares and Nick Ritchie if all goes well. Jason Spezza is excited for his first home opener with high energy as he was scratched two years ago by Mike Babcock and last year's home opener happened without fans. Keefe also confirmed that Jack Campbell will get the start between the pipes.
