A Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and uniform that many fans have come to love over the decades may be altered ahead of St. Patrick's Day this season. Reports from Icethetics have mentioned that Toronto is in the process of deciding whether to make adjustments to their iconic St. Pats uniform.

Icethetics is a company that works alongside the NHL to design logos and uniforms for NHL teams. A source of the company stated that the Toronto Maple Leafs are still in the decision-making process of whether or not to alter the historic uniforms ahead of St. Patrick's Day.

Icethetics' source also shared that the idea behind the change would be switching from the pill shaped container that holds the "St. Pats" to a shamrock instead.

The white and green colours are, of course, expected to stay the same regardless of any changes made, but a shamrock would really compliment the uniforms well, and if done right, could take them to a whole new level.

With the Toronto Maple Leafs playing three games around St. Patrick's Day: the Philadelphia Flyers March 14th, the Carolina Hurricanes March 16th and another match against the Flyers on March 19th, if the club follows through with altering the St. Pats uniforms, it will give many fans something new to look forward to.
