"The Toronto Maple Leafs are in offseason mode and while it didn't sound like many changes were coming during end of year pressers, we all know change is needed. It seems we've got our first changes and the Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas made an announcement on Friday. "Assistant coach Paul McFarland has officially left the organization to assume his role as head coach of the Kingston Frontenacs (OHL) while the club did not renew the contract of assistant coach Andrew Brewer."
While we were already aware that McFarland was leaving it's a bit surprising that Brewer is gone. That currently leaves the Leafs' with only Dave Hakstol as an assistant coach along with Steve Briere the goalie coach and Jordan Bean video coach. These will be some big hires for Dubas and head coach Sheldon Keefe.
