The team let James van Riemsdyk, Leo Komarov, Roman Polak, Tyler Bozak and Tomas Plekanec walk and they might be looking to move another forward. According Larry Brooks of the New York Post, forward Matt Martin is garnering lost of interest, Andy Graziano of WFAN in New York has it pegged that currently 5-7 different teams are looking at the forward. Among them, Graziano has listed both the New York Rangers and New York Islanders. Martin carries a $2.5million cap hit for the next two seasons and can likely get a later round draft pick in return. The 29 year old was made a healthy scratch frequently this past season and only played in 50 games, he'll likely be more than happy with a fresh start.
Upwards of 5-7 teams 'in', to some degree, on Matt Martin. #isles#NYR two of them. — Andy Graziano (@AndyGraz_WFAN) July 3, 2018
