"It's been a drama filled start to the season for the Toronto Maple Leafs highlighted by injuries and losses. Lately fingers have been pointed at head coach Mike Babcock, but everybody has looked bad. Taking charge and trying to fix things, captain John Tavares and defenseman Morgan Rielly held a private meeting with Mike Babcock last night. Rielly revealed a bit of the details about the meeting. "We've talked about things we can change within the system & how we can improve, but it comes down to work ethic & that's on the players so that's what we have to be prepared to do" Rielly added that this road trip should help the team get things going again. "It's nice to get everyone in the same room & on the same page. We had an opportunity to talk & it's important now that we look ourselves in the mirror & it's time to dig in & we're aware of that. It's a good test for us." We'll see if this meeting solved anything tonight.
