Toronto Maple Leafs veteran Morgan Rielly spoke highly of former teammate Nikolay Kulemin ahead of the team's pre-season clash against the Ottawa Senators.
Rielly will be facing former teammate Nikolay Kulemin in the pre-season game against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday, and the Maple Leafs veteran reflected on their time together this morning.
As reported by David Alter on X, Rielly stated:
"When he was here, he was a great player. Just the ultimate 200-foot forward and worker and a big, strong guy. I remember being young and him having that kind of imposing type of stature. So good for him. I wish him nothing but the best."
Now 38 years old, Kulemin is looking to bring his veteran presence to the Senators after signing a PTO with the club. He is recognized for his two-way style of play and high hockey IQ. As he makes his comeback, Maple Leafs fan will undoubtedly be rooting for the success of the former fan favourite.
