French golfer Victor Perez made a scene at the PGA's Canadian Open, playing with an Auston Matthews jersey on.

That got the fans at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club fired up, and the 31-year-old may have earned himself some new supporters with the move.

The 'Rink Hole' is the 13th hole of the course, and it has hockey boards set up around the tee.

Perez shot a 64 in the third round, and went 14 below par to finish in third in the tournament. That only trailed Scotland's Robert MacIntyre, and Benjamin Griffin of the United States.

There's been countless celebrities spotted wearing the Blue and White, including Justin Bieber, Drake, Taylor Swift, Glenn Frey, Freddie Mercury, Shania Twain, Hayden Christensen Snoop Dogg, Mike Myers and Daniel Johns, who was the lead vocalist of the now-defunct Silverchair, among others.
