"The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas have been making some minor deals on free agency with deals for Kenny Agostino, Jason Spezza and Nick Shore. They shipped Patrick Marleau, Nikita Zaitsev and Connor Brown out of town and apparently have tried to ship somebody else out. We heard earlier in June that the Leafs had tried to ship Nazem Kadri to Carolina however Kadri blocked the deal thanks to his trade protection. According to Nick Kypreos, Kadri has recently just blocked a trade to the Calgary Flames as well. It seems that the Leafs are set on moving Kadri but Kadri is set on fully using his trade protection. Who do you think the Leafs would have got in the Calgary trade?TJ Brodie and Travis Hamonic have both been rumoured to be on the block.
That's 2 reported deals (other was to CAR for Pesce) that Kadri has reportedly nixed https://t.co/v99NijWqd8 — James (@Account4hockey) July 1, 2019
