The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas weren't the most active during free agency but did address some holes. Dubas has brought in Wayne Simmonds, Jimmy Vesey, TJ Brodie, Zach Bogosian while re-signing Jason Spezza. All of them come through on a bargain contract besides Brodie and Dubas might be able to sign another veteran with a low price tag. According to James Mirtle of The Athletic, the Leafs are currently trying to sign Joe Thornton. Mirtle adds it's an aggressive pursuit and there's mutual interest. The Leafs have even had one of their star players call Thornton and try and sell him on joining the team. Do you think Thornton would be a great addition for the Leafs?
