"While the Toronto Maple Leafs await the answer on the big John Tavares sweepstakes, general manager Kyle Dubas continues to look at ways to improve his team. The Leafs might need some depth at center as Tyler Bozak, Tomas Plekanec and Dominic Moore are all expected to find news teams during free agency. Sportsnet's Rick Dhaliwal reports that the Leafs are showing some interested towards free agent Tobias Rieder. Rieder who was a restricted free agent didn't receive a qualifying offer from the Los Angeles Kings which means he's now an unrestricted free agent. He split last season between the Kings and Coyotes and put up 12 goals after putting up 16 the season before in 80 games with the Coyotes. If there's one thing for sure, Rieder is a very fast skater and fits in well with the Leafs new, young, fast team. Would you be interested in Rieder?
The #Canucks, Flames, Oilers, Canadians and Maple Leafs are all showing interest in Rieder. — Rick Dhaliwal (@DhaliwalSports) June 29, 2018
