The Toronto Maple Leafs were the victim of a terrible loss last night as they blew a 5-1 lead to the Ottawa Senators. It was brutal and one of the worst blown leads in the modern day NHL but the Leafs will have to regroup with two more games against the Sens this week. We've heard for weeks that the Leafs are interested in landing another forward and NHL insider Elliotte Friedman had a name that the Leafs were interested but wouldn't reveal it this past weekend during Hockey Night in Canada. However it looks like James Mirtle of The Athletic was able to dig it up. According Mirtle, that forward is Mikael Granlund of the Nashville Predators. Granlund signed a one year deal with the Predators during the offseason and has seven points in 12 games this season. Unfortunately like the Preds, Granlund has gone cold lately with just one point in his last five games. Do you think Granlund would be able to step into the Leafs' top six?
