The Toronto Maple Leafs and general manager Kyle Dubas will be doing a bit of house keeping this offseason. We've heard some speculation about what they might do after they started the offseason off by cleaning house with their assistant coaches. Right now head coach Sheldon Keefe is down to Dave Hakstol as his only assistant coach. We've also heard speculation that Frederik Andersen might have played his last game in a Maple Leafs' uniform, and heard about the Rangers possibly going after William Nylander. James Mirtle of The Athletic believes that Kyle Clifford is done in Toronto and there's no reason to bring him back. So if the Leafs lose Clifford, where will they get their grit from?NHL insider Elliotte Friedman believes that Dubas will sign Radko Gudas during the offseason and it's one of the worst kept secrets behind the scenes. "I do think some non-stereotypical Dubas moves are coming. I put Gudas' name there. I have one guy in the league who is already calling him, «future Leaf Radko Gudas.» The guy is in the playoffs for the Capitals. This is something I heard in the aftermath of Game 5: He went out and got Kyle Clifford, and someone told me he was contemplating more than that. I don't know who, but I am wondering if he adds some bite on his blue line.He has players coming in next year — Barabanov from the KHL up front and Lehtonen on defense from the KHL — but I think he needs more bite. I think he will try to add it.When someone says to me that Dubas was looking at not just Clifford, it says to me that he is thinking about it. Two names I put in the blog are Borowiecki and Radko Gudas. That's just me throwing stuff against the wall, right?"Would you like to see Gudas added to the Leafs' blueline?
