The Toronto Maple Leafs hit the ice for practice today as they'll be in Buffalo tomorrow to take on the Sabres. It's the first of back to back games against Buffalo as the Sabres will visit ScotiaBank Arena on Saturday. In Leafs' land under former head coach Mike Babcock, a back to back meant that Freddy Andersen would start the first game while the backup would start the second no matter what teams the Leafs were playing against. Well, new head coach Sheldon Keefe has decided to do something that would absolutely blow Babcock's mind. Keefe announced today that Michael Hutchinson will start tomorrow's game while Andersen will start Saturday in Toronto. The Leafs' new head coach explained that Hutchinson has plenty of experience with early starts while in the AHL as the game is at 4pm tomorrow.Keefe added that it will give Andersen a full day preparation for Saturday and the team doesn't have to absolutely win the first or second game of back to back's yet. Someone put some pillows on the ground at the Babcock residence, he might faint when he reads this.
