The Leafs, and especially veteran defenseman Morgan Rielly, were not pleased with Greig's actions and Rielly not took exception, he made sure to deliver a very clear-cut message to Greig and the Sens. Rielly cross-checked Greig high and sent him to the ice before everyone on the ice became involved in the scrum. Following the game, the Leafs were asked about the scrum, with Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe leading the way.
Forwards John Tavares and Max Domi shared similar responses, saying that the team is going to stick together and show they can't be pushed around.
Meanwhile, Leafs goaltender Martin Jones had the most blunt response.
Rielly received a major penalty for charging and game misconduct and will likely have a hearing with the NHL's Player Safety department. Rielly was also not made available post-game for comment, though I'm sure he'd have said something similar to what Keefe, Domi and Jones had to say.
