The Toronto Maple Leafs nice little streak came to an end as did Jack Campbell's last night. A tough 4-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens in Montreal saw the Leafs come out flat and just couldn't get it going. They bounced back in the second period but after tying the game let Josh Anderson get the winner shortly after. After the game head coach Sheldon Keefe shouldered the blame for the loss saying he just didn't have the team properly prepared. "We clearly just weren't ready to go today. That is my job. It is the coach's job to get the team ready to play. We weren't ready to play. That one falls on me."
"It was as poorly as we have played in a long time. Of course, it is a good sign that the game could've gotten away on us & it didn't."
The Leafs had a couple of chances on the power play but just like the last month or so, just couldn't finish. Keefe believes it's in their head now and the root of the problem. "I'd say about 100%."
